To support our growth, we are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team in The Hague, Netherlands.

Your Role

As an Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing and executing offshore projects. With a strong focus on practical engineering, you will ensure that what is designed can be effectively executed in real-world conditions. You will work both in Den Haag and Zaandam, with regular travel to offshore sites across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop method statements, lift plans, and essential documentation for project execution.
• Act as a site engineer, ensuring the successful implementation of lifting solutions and marine operations.
• Oversee the testing of new equipment at yard locations or client sites.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs are optimized for practical application.
• Provide technical expertise during project execution, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

What they are looking for

• A Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering (Werktuigbouwkunde) or a Maritime-related field (Maritieme Techniek).
• At least 3 years of relevant hands-on experience in offshore operations, lifting, or mechanical engineering.
• Strong operational insight with a practical approach to engineering challenges.
• Willingness to travel within Europe (primarily UK/DK) and occasionally offshore.
• Ability to translate engineering concepts into real-world applications.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable with working in a dynamic environment.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
• Hands-on, proactive attitude with a structured, team-oriented mindset.
